After years of volunteering with different organizations herself and serving on the board of the Phoenixville White Horse Rugby Club as the fundraising chair, Laura Berry realized that there is an unfortunate theme recurring in many nonprofits.

Far too often, the same volunteers and donors are being asked to shoulder a disproportionate amount of responsibility, resulting in volunteer burnout and a struggle to secure adequate funding.

Even Giving Compass states that stressed out volunteers can have a direct and negative impact on your nonprofit.

Laura wanted to do something to help nonprofits facing this challenge, so she combined her love of acting and horror into a truly one-of-a-kind business, Lady Raven Productions, LLC (LRP).

Based in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, LRP reduces volunteer stress by hosting unique fundraisers at little to no cost for the booking organizations.

As the character Lady Raven, she performs live re-tellings of American ghost stories and hosts horror themed trivia nights. As the primary organizer of these events, she is able to alleviate volunteer stress by minimizing their workload.

Laura works with the local business community to secure advertising for the events, provide food, and prizes for trivia participants all while raising funds for important causes.
