Engaging with Your Coven — or Network — Can do Wonders for your Small Business

Last week, an artist who had learned about Lady Raven Productions while selling her work at BlobFest reached out. Turns out that a customer was telling her about LRP and suggested she get in touch.

Needless to say, I was over the moon. I’m so grateful that someone thought of LRP in that moment, and then took the time to share what I do. Whoever you are, THANK YOU!
In the digital age, it can be easy to forget that word of mouth is still THE BEST form of advertising. You can’t buy that kind of brand reputability. You have to earn it by:
👻 Putting in the work (even when you don’t want to)
👻 Showing up for others
👻 Delivering on your promises
Just the other morning, I was having coffee with a new connection.
While I was discussing my photo branding session with Courtney Criddle Photography, his ears perked up. He stopped me to say that he was actually looking for a good family photographer.
Courtney’s info was delivered to his inbox in less than hour.
Here’s the takeaway from this post:
When you talk, people listen.
Go to the next local networking shindig. Grab a snack, talk to some folks, and ask them about what they do.
They’ll want to learn about your business, too.
And hey, maybe the next time their friends need your services, they’ll tell them about you.
